The Simpsons are making a Splash at Sandcastle and Idlewild & SoakZone!

West Homestead, PA -- America’s favorite family and TV’s longest-running scripted show are hitting the road to host a themed takeover in 11 cities nationwide, appearing at Sandcastle on Saturday, August 18 and Idlewild & SoakZone on Sunday, August 19.

Visitors to Sandcastle, in West Homestead, and Idlewild & SoakZone, in Ligonier, can celebrate summer – water park style- along with The Simpsons and be the first to ride a Springfield donut inner tube that would make even Homer jealous! Fans can also pose for some fun photos with the Simpson gang at various locations throughout the water parks.

After guests cool down by having fun on the rides and slides, they can continue the fun at home with The Simpsons on Blu-ray and DVD. Fans can enjoy exclusive footage and special features available only on these releases. The Simpsons Seasons 1-14 are currently available; Season 15 will be released on December 4, 2012.

Sandcastle has 15 infamous waterslides including the NEW Dragon's Den, the wild Mon-Tsunami Wave Pool, the scenic Mushroom Pool, and the relaxing Lazy River continue to keep guests of all ages cool all summer long! Parents and children can experience their ‘Castle day at Tad Pool or Wet Willie’s Waterworks -- filled with waterslides and water activities fit for their small, yet energetic size!

Sandcastle is open daily through August 19 and is also open the weekends of August 25-26 and September 1-3. Gates open at 11AM. Admission is $31.99; senior (55+) and guests 48" and under are $21.99. Idlewild & SoakZone is open daily through August 22 and also open August 25–26 and September 1–3. Gates open at 10:30 AM. Admission is $33.99 for ages 3–59; Seniors (60+) are $25.99 and children 2 and under are free.
