Story Book Forest has delighted visitors to Idlewild since 1956, when it was created to be a magical land based on emotion rather than motion.  Featuring a winding path through a real forest, guests visit cottages and other character scenes from fairy tales and nursery rhymes.  We're continuing our multi-year enhancement project highlighted by improving accessibility along the Forest's pathways.  Last year, we were able to pave about 1/3 of the forest path, and this year, you'll notice about 1/3 more paved allowing for am easier trek through the woods to Grandmother's House.  We continue our character enchancements as well, with a plethora of friendly fairy-tale folks available to meet along your adventurous journey!  

Rollo Coaster has been delighting young and old alike since it was build using timbers from Idlewild property way back in 1938.  For the last several years, we have continued to make structural updates so that Rollo can keep rolling for many more decades!  Last season, you may have noticed that these upgrades allowed for the removal of the weight limit on the ride.  This year, several thousand pounds of lumber and concrete have been used to continue our upgrades.  Plus,. you'll see a completely new station deck with new entry and exit queues and accessible ramps. Add on some fresh aluminum fencing and Rollo will be sporting the finest new look that makes her look way younger than her actual age!
